Search Mahogany listings→Mahogany occupies the southeast corner of Calgary, bounded roughly by 52 Street SE to the north, Stoney Trail to the east and the Auburn Bay and Seton communities to the west. Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail are both within a few minutes' drive, and 52 Street SE is the main east, west arterial. Calgary Transit bus routes serve the community and connect to the Somerset. Bridlewood LRT and to Seton; the planned Green Line LRT includes a station in the Seton. Mahogany area, and its current status should be checked with the City of Calgary.
The community is organised around Mahogany Lake and a connected wetland system with about 22 km of pathways. Two residents' facilities, the Mahogany Beach Club on the west shore and the West Beach on the opposite side, provide beaches, docks, non-motorised boating, a splash park, tennis and pickleball courts, skating in winter and a programmed events calendar. Access is through the Mahogany Homeowners Association; every property in the community pays an annual fee, which is registered on title. Confirm the current fee amount and what it covers before purchasing.
Westman Village, on the lake's west side, combines residential buildings with restaurants, services and the Village Centre. Mahogany Village Market and the Mahogany Plaza provide groceries, medical and everyday retail, and the larger Seton commercial area, with the South Health Campus hospital, YMCA, library, cinema and big-box retail, is directly west along 52 Street or Seton Boulevard.
The Calgary Board of Education operates Mahogany School (kindergarten to grade 4 at time of writing) within the community, with older grades designated to schools in neighbouring communities; the Calgary Catholic School District operates Divine Mercy School in Mahogany. Designations change as new schools open in the southeast, so confirm the designated school for any specific address with the board directly.
Mahogany is a mix of detached homes, duplexes, townhomes and apartment buildings. Detached homes range from laned front-garage houses on standard lots, through wider front-attached-garage homes, to lakefront and estate homes on the lake's shore and in the community's estate sections. Because construction spans 2010 to the present, buyers see a wide spread of ages, sizes and builders across a single community. Current detached listings update live on the MLS® search below.

"Mahogany buyers almost always start with the lake. My job is to get them past the beach club into the practical questions: which section, which builder, what the association fee covers, and how the resale history looks for that street."
